Before time unfolded, when souls stood in witness before their Lord, humanity was entrusted with a covenant — The Oneness of the Divine Reality and devotion, the eternal testimony to serve, uphold truth, and carry light upon the earth.
When Prophet Adam and our Mother Hawa Peace be upon them descended from Jannah, the first journey on earth began — a journey of love, longing, repentance, reunion and devotion — culminating on the Plains of Arafat, the first earthly reunion in history, the mountain of mercy, the birthplace of forgiveness, and the eternal symbol of return to Allah.
From that moment, travel was no longer movement — it became a Divine purpose, a search for meaning, for signs, for unity, for truth… a sacred migration carried in the steps of Prophets, Companions, and travelers of the same spiritual path.
قل سيروا في الأرض فانظروا كيف بدأ الخلق
“Say: Travel through the earth and observe how He began creation…” (Qur’an 29:20)
This same calling of sacred movement later inspired the greatest travelers of truth — from Tariq Ibn Ziyad crossing into Europe, to Musa Ibn Nusayr marching with faith, to Sultan Mehmet Al-Fatih fulfilling prophecy, to Ibn Battūta, the child of Andalucia, whose 120,000-kilometer odyssey carried Islam to hearts, kingdoms and shores from Africa to South East Asia.
It is because of Ibn Battuta and those who followed him by the will of Allah that Islam reached the depths of South Asia, where today :
One man. One journey. One legacy. A proof that one believer can change the destiny of nations.

From the Golden Age of Al-Andalus (Islamic Iberian Peninsula ), the world inherited a revolution of science, navigation, medicine, agriculture, architecture, spirituality, and governance — all born from the Qur’anic command Iqra’ (Read).
That Andalusian flame ignited:
So when the world asks, “ Where did modern civilization begin ? ”
The answer returns as light:
It began where faith met knowledge — in the gardens, libraries and souls of Al-Andalus.

The answer returns as light:
It began where faith met knowledge — in the gardens, libraries and souls of Al-Andalus.
This Foundation Is The Continuation Of That Journey
The World Islamic Heritage Waqf Foundation is not an institution — it is a revival, a return, a responsibility, a divine guardianship.
We aim to be the custodians of:
We do not preserve stones. We revive souls.
We do not narrate history. We awaken its mission.
We do not build destinations. We build direction.
“The world was not changed by land conquests .… It was transformed by hearts guided to Allah.”

1. REVIVE
Sacred sites, Muslim heritage, lost history, forgotten scholars, erased civilizations, spiritual roots.
2. RECONNECT

“Do not be like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves.” (Qur’an 59:19)
